The Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and shipment of products. Key duties include loading and unloading trucks, managing inventory, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role also involves operating equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, and assisting the Sales Team with job installations. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide operational support to the Sales Team to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Assist in managing and tracking job installations.
  • Handle warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, order picking, wrapping products, packing, labeling, shipping, and receiving.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on forklifts and trucks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly shut down and locked out when not in use.
  • Transport waste materials from the assembly line to designated dumpsters.
  • Complete daily logs and maintain accurate records.
  • Uphold quality control standards by ensuring no damaged products are shipped and no defective raw materials are accepted.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment, including shrink-wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
  • Stage finished products for loading and ensure efficient loading onto trucks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Knowledge of the solar energy industry is preferred.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Willingness to drive delivery trucks to and from work sites (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a minimum of three years of driving history, a clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.
  • Willing to complete the pre-employment screening process.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions (e.g., high heat, cold temperatures).
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, ascend/descend stairs, and work on rooftops of multi-level buildings, as well as within confined spaces such as attics.
  • While performing the duties of this role, the employee will regularly be required to speak and hear. The role frequently requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50-70 pounds.
  • The employee will occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.

Base Salary
