PosiGen, a leading provider of sustainable solar solutions, is hiring a Temporary IT Specialist for a 3-month, paid contract position. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain valuable hands-on experience in IT operations while supporting a mission-driven company working toward energy equity.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Technology & IT team, supporting both everyday operations and special projects that help power our clean energy mission. If you're tech-savvy, organized, and eager to grow your skills, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do

Respond to IT helpdesk tickets and troubleshoot hardware/software issues

Support device provisioning, setup, and basic maintenance

Assist with printer and other hardware installation as needed

Help with data entry, reporting, and documentation

Streamline internal IT operations, including managing inventory and logistics

Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborations

Learn industry tools, systems, and processes

Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Technology team
What We’re Looking For

Enrolled in or completed a degree or certification in IT, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field

IT/Helpdesk certifications are a strong plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and with a team

Eagerness to learn and a proactive, can-do attitude
This is an on-site, temporary position based in Shelton, CT, lasting up to 3 months. The role pays up to $18/hour, is not eligible for benefits.

Physical Demands

- Primary responsibilities involve regular speaking, listening, standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, and reaching with arms.
- Occasionally, the role may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Employees must be able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
- Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.
