Summary

The Incentive Operations Analyst plays a critical role in driving performance, transparency, and process improvement across our clean energy incentive programs. This role combines data analysis, operational insight, and project coordination to track key metrics, identify opportunities for optimization, and support cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and contribute to the seamless execution of incentive workflows. This is a high-impact position for someone passionate about operational excellence and solar energy.

This is a hybrid position located in one of our Centers of Excellence: New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; Denver, CO.


Essential Job Functions

  • Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards to track SLA performance, incentive throughput, backlog volume, revenue timing, and cycle times
  • Analyze operational and automation-generated data to detect revenue leakage, process delays, inefficiencies, and performance bottlenecks
  • Monitor incentive program performance across multiple states and program types (e.g., RECs, PBIs, rebates)
  • Deliver recurring reports and insights for business reviews, executive updates, and operational leadership
  • Prepare internal and external slide decks to communicate key insights, updates, and performance summaries
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, and executive teams to forecast capacity and support effective resource prioritization
  • Lead or support discrete projects and initiatives (e.g., backlog reduction, REC registration sprint, process audits)
  • Support new program rollouts, including workflow mapping, documentation, and project tracking
  • Update trackers and program dashboards to monitor progress against goals and deadlines
  • Assist with time-sensitive tasks such as REC and state incentive submissions, internal process audits, or cross-functional initiatives
  • Contribute to the documentation of SOPs and internal knowledge for team continuity and onboarding
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in operations analysis, business intelligence, project coordination, or a similar analytical role
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, environmental science, data analytics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (including pivot tables), SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Sigma
  • Strong analytical thinker with a bias for action—able to turn complex data into actionable insights and clear recommendations
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workflows and priorities concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident creating executive-facing slide decks and communicating data insights
  • Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity, while collaborating effectively across departments
  • Demonstrated interest in clean energy, incentive programs, or operational excellence a plus
  • Bonus: experience with Salesforce or similar platforms, and familiarity with energy incentives (RECs, PBIs, etc.)

  • Primary responsibilities involve regular speaking, listening, standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, and reaching with arms.
  • Occasionally, the role may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must be able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.

Base Salary
$65,000—$95,000 USD
